Mpls Downtown Improvement District

The Alley Project, located at the 900 Hennepin block, is transforming an underutilized public space into a hub of cultural activity where participants shape the place and what happens in it.

Previously used mainly for deliveries, this alley has becoming a place where community gatherings, school classes, and activities can take place.

An immersive mural evoking the changing course of the Mississippi River over time adds to the vibrancy of the space and incorporates a basketball half-court. The newest edition to The Alley is the custom half-pipe.
