Mpls Downtown Improvement District

David Wilson, managing partner at Accenture and Chair of the DID Greening and Public Realm Committee, noted that downtown is the fastest growing neighborhood in the city and is “lacking in parks and green space” for the residents.

Community leaders are working to double the size of downtown’s population by adding another 35,000 residents by 2025.

“Fortunately, our community is proactively planning new downtown parks and the renovation of existing public realm amenities to make sure that our city competes successfully for new residents, jobs and visitors,” he said.
