Mpls Downtown Improvement District

Today as I was driving home, I realized that my car was almost completely out of gas. I had gotten lost on my way home from an appointment and was five minutes from being completely stranded. I pulled into downtown and started walking hoping to find a gas station. After asking a few pedestrians and getting completely lost I found two "D.I.D" workers. Without knowing anything about the program these two wonderful people immediately began helping me. They got me gas, kept me company while I waited, filled up my car, and got me going in the right direction. They showed me the type of kindness that keeps me believing in the goodness of people. They turned what could have been a TERRIBLE evening into one that made me smile. Knowing that individuals like this are working makes me feel so much more comfortable downtown. They should be celebrated! Thank you!
