Mpls Downtown Improvement District

Kristi is the Manager of Stakeholder Operations, which means she is involved in just about every aspect of the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District. She supports the Operations, Tactical Urbanism and Communications efforts among others. She is a self-taught graphic designer, expert in Salesforce and has been with the MDID since 2010 – joining the team just months after the district launched. As such, she is a wealth of knowledge on how downtown and the MDID have evolved since inception. Prior to that Kristi was in Hospitality Marketing with the Residence Inn, and - if you’ve seen her work on a difficult stakeholder concern, you’d likely not be surprised by that. She brings those hospitality skills to her work in her role here every day. Kristi is also an expert multi-tasker and ensures that everything that she touches is better than when it came to her.

Kristi is a native of Apple Valley and got her degree in Business Marketing from St. Thomas University. She has a little girl, Quinn, who keeps her on her toes, and two Pit Bulls, who she spoils terribly. When asked to pick her favorite MDID program, she protested, saying “We love them all the same”… and she really means that!
