Mpls Downtown Improvement District

On August 1st from 3-5 pm, we kicked off National Night Out in downtown Mpls. With various activities and free giveaways, we had a wonderful time at Mayo Clinic Square. Many community members stopped by to play some basketball, grab a free pair of sunglasses, and enjoy a delicious frozen treat. Approximately 2,000 people attended, and more than 1,500 free push-up ice cream and sherbet treats were handed out throughout the day.

We had many special guests stop by Mayo Clinic Square, as well, including Mayor Betsy Hodges, Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo, Hennepin County Sheriff Richard Stanek, Metro Transit Police Chief John Harrington, Minneapolis Police Department, First Precinct Inspector Mike Sullivan, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, and others.
