The Mpls Downtown Improvement District has been working with the Super Bowl Host Committee and other downtown partners to help ensure that downtown Minneapolis is ready to show off the Bold North.

Excitement is building for the Big Game. The Mpls Downtown Improvement District has been working with the Super Bowl Host Committee and other downtown partners to help ensure that downtown Minneapolis is ready to show off the Bold North.

We have been actively involved in helping with welcoming and wayfinding downtown. Specifically,

  • Created “Welcome to the Bold North” signs for various windows and building facades.
  • Developed large flag signage for visitors to highlight the the street level skyway entrances.
  • Updated the DID Downtown Minneapolis Map and Guide.

The DID has several plans in place to help during the Super Bowl festivities in addition to what the Super Bowl Host Committee is planning.

  • DID Ambassadors will add an extra hour of service and will be out until midnight during the 10 days of Super Bowl
  •  Additional DID cleaning crews will be deployed
  • Added focus of Ambassadors on Hennepin and Marquette, flanking both sides of Super Bowl Live
  • Skyway navigation assistance by Ambassadors. CLICK HERE for a map of extended skyway hours.
  • Safety Communications Center will be active 24-7 during the final four days of the Super Bowl window (Feb 1-4)
  • CLICK HERE to visit the DID's Super Bowl page.
