Nicollet Mall has big week hosting events
This week on Nicollet Mall was one for the ages. The Minnesota Twins hosted a fun pop-up event on Tuesday between 7th and 8th street called Mall Ball. The event began by 8 active Twins players splitting up into two teams and competing in a home run derby with wiffle balls. After a few rounds of the players competing, the Twins welcomed fans and media up to try their hand at the plate. This event brought in hundreds of excited fans and the Twins certainly did not disappoint.
On Wednesday, Nicollet Mall once again hosted the Makers Market from 10:30am-2:30pm. Many local vendors participated this time around and passer-byers enjoyed checking out the products. Mark your calendar for the next Makers Market on July 25!
Also on Wednesday was a free OULA dance class by the downtown YMCA on Nicollet at the Xcel Energy Plaza. Don't miss the next one on August 1 from 12-1pm.
Finally, on Thursday, the downtown farmers market provided fresh produce and local products to people on Nicollet Mall from 6am-6pm. This farmers market runs every Thursday in the summer, so be sure to stop by for your shopping needs!
