Mpls Downtown Improvement District

As 2011 came to a close the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District took an opportunity to reflect back on the district’s accomplishments over the past two and half years. As of December 31st, 2011 Minneapolis DID Ambassadors had removed over 2.6 Million pounds of trash, equal to the weight of four jumbo jets; assisted 238,463 pedestrians, enough to fill Target Field six times; and removed 66,083 gum spots from downtown sidewalks which equals over 4,218 packs of gum! Minneapolis DID looks forward to providing services to make downtown shine in 2012 and beyond.
